flydubai is a Dubai airline that flies from Dubai International (DXB). For flydubai careers, the official site is careers.flydubai.com, which is linked from the footer of flydubai.com. Applying is free, and flydubai says it never sends applicants to third parties for applications or visas.
What kind of company is flydubai?
The “About flydubai” page on its careers site says the airline launched in June 2009 and calls Dubai its hub. It operates from Dubai International, where it is the second-largest carrier. Its fleet is made of Boeing 737 aircraft. So the jobs are in Dubai.
Where do I apply for flydubai careers?
All jobs are on one page: careers.flydubai.com/jobs. The site splits them into these areas:
- Cabin Crew
- Pilots
- Behind the Scenes (office and support teams)
- Engineering
- UAE National Opportunities and the Masar Internship
Create a candidate profile, upload your CV and answer the job questions. If nothing fits today, join the talent community.
How do I become flydubai cabin crew?
The requirements
The cabin crew page lists these minimum requirements, in flydubai’s own words:
- “Must be at least 21 years old”
- “Minimum height of 158 cm, in accordance with our safety regulations”
- “High school diploma is essential”
- “1 year of experience in a customer service role, ideally in aviation, hospitality, or retail”
- “Fluent in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage”
- “Confident in the water when wearing a flotation aid/life jacket”
- “No visible tattoos while in uniform”
- “In good health, with the ability to pass an aero medical examination”
- “Willing to relocate to Dubai, (UAE)”
It also asks for a valid passport and willingness to work weekends, holidays and overnight shifts. No arm reach rule is listed.
The four steps (and why there is no walk-in)
flydubai starts everything online:
- Online application: profile, CV, documents and role questions.
- Online assessment test: psychometric tests on work behaviour, logical thinking, multitasking and verbal reasoning. Practice questions are provided.
- Video interview: you record answers to set questions whenever it suits you.
- Application review: if you meet the criteria, you are invited to an assessment day.
So there is no “just walk in” route here. When we checked on 24 October 2026, the events page listed only a UAE National Careers Open Day, and no cabin crew open days. Treat any poster about a flydubai walk-in in Kerala, Manila or Lagos with care unless the same event appears on careers.flydubai.com. You can see other real walk-ins on our walk-in interview jobs page.
How much does flydubai pay cabin crew?
flydubai is one of the few airlines that publishes cabin crew pay. As shown on its page in October 2026:
| Item | As published |
|---|---|
| Basic salary + housing + transport allowance | AED 8,275 a month |
| Variable flying pay | Average AED 4,500 a month (based on 90 flying hours) |
Other rewards listed are medical insurance, end of service benefit, 30 days of paid leave a year and an annual leave ticket. The same page shows a “Training Bond” of “USD 2,650/approx. AED 9,700 for the first year”. Ask flydubai to explain what this bond means for you before you sign. For other jobs, no salary figures are published. Check every number in your offer with our guide on how to read a UAE job offer letter.
Pilots, engineering and office jobs
Pilots: the site lists Captain, First Officer, a Second Officer Programme and an Ab Initio Pilot Training Programme. The ab initio page says it is for people “17 to 30 years old” who finished high school with at least 70% (or a GPA of 3.0), are fluent in English and can get a GCAA Class 1 medical. Two points matter for expats:
- It is “self-sponsored for non-UAE nationals”, so you pay for your own training.
- The page says the “application window for 2026 is now closed” and will reopen for 2027.
Engineering: teams work in line maintenance, technical services, materials and workshops on the 737 NG and MAX. The page lists basic salary, housing, transport and an engineering allowance, but no amounts.
Behind the scenes: customer experience, commercial, operations, planning and scheduling, procurement, legal and information services.
How do I avoid fake flydubai job offers?
flydubai’s careers site has its own warning. It says fake offers arrive by email, letter, SMS or WhatsApp and often ask for bank account details. flydubai says it “does not send emails, letters or other messages requesting your bank account details in order to process documents.” Such messages “should be deleted immediately and not responded to.”
- Real messages come only from an email address ending in @flydubai.com.
- Real jobs are advertised on flydubai’s own websites.
- To check a message, email recruitment@flydubai.com with the subject “Recruitment Fraud”.
