Carrefour hypermarkets and supermarkets in the UAE are run by Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), the Dubai-based group that holds the rights to operate Carrefour here. So for Carrefour UAE careers, the official place to apply is Majid Al Futtaim’s own careers site, careers.majidalfuttaim.com. Applying is free. If anyone asks you to pay for a Carrefour job, stop.
Who runs Carrefour in the UAE?
Carrefour is a French brand, but its UAE stores are not run from France. Here is what news reports confirm:
- Majid Al Futtaim holds the exclusive rights to operate Carrefour in the UAE (Gulf Business, July 2026).
- MAF was founded in 1992 and brought modern grocery retail to the region in 1995.
- In July 2026 it opened its first premium “Carrefour Market” store at Jumeirah Park Centre in Dubai and said more stores would get this format during 2026.
You may have heard that Carrefour is closing in the Gulf. That happened in some countries, not the UAE. In 2024 and 2025 MAF replaced Carrefour with its own brand, HyperMax, in Jordan, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait. Gulf News reported in September 2025 that senior MAF officials said they intend to keep the Carrefour brand in the UAE.
What this means for you: a Carrefour UAE job offer should come from Majid Al Futtaim, not from “Carrefour France” or a random agency.
Where do I apply for Carrefour UAE careers?
Do not start from a link someone sent you on WhatsApp or Facebook. Start from the company itself:
- Type careers.majidalfuttaim.com into your browser yourself. It is MAF’s official careers site for all its businesses, including Carrefour.
- Use the search box: type a job title (for example “cashier”, “butcher” or “Carrefour”) and choose a UAE location.
- Open the job and read the title, city and requirements. Store jobs are usually listed under the category “Sales, Service & Store Operations”.
- Apply on that site with your CV. You can also follow Majid Al Futtaim’s official LinkedIn page. In 2018 an MAF spokesperson told Gulf News that the company posts official openings there with specific job numbers.
A real job usually has a job number or reference. If someone offers you a “Carrefour job” with no job number and no interview, be very careful.
What jobs does Carrefour UAE often hire for?
When we checked MAF’s careers site in October 2026, it listed jobs across its malls and retail brands, including a Carrefour store manager role. Most entry-level store openings are not advertised individually all the time, so this list is based on what a large hypermarket business needs. Carrefour stores often need people for:
- Cashiers and customer service
- Sales staff and shelf fillers in grocery and non-food sections
- Fresh food counters: bakery, butchery, fish, fruit and vegetables
- Warehouse, receiving and stock staff
- Supervisors, section managers and store managers
- Office jobs such as finance, HR, buying and IT
Some MAF openings are marked “Emirati Talent” and are only for UAE nationals, so read each job carefully. Vacancies change all the time, so check the official careers site again instead of trusting old lists shared in groups.
Does Carrefour UAE hold walk-in interviews?
Many people search “Carrefour walk in interview Dubai”. We did not find any walk-in announcement from an official Majid Al Futtaim or Carrefour UAE source. Walk-in posts appear on blogs and social media, but we could not confirm them.
If you see a walk-in notice:
- Look for the same job on careers.majidalfuttaim.com or MAF’s LinkedIn page.
- Never pay a “registration” or “file” fee.
For walk-ins we have checked from many UAE companies, see our walk-in interview jobs page.
How much salary does Carrefour UAE pay?
We did not find any official salary figures for Carrefour UAE jobs. Pay depends on the role, the store, your experience and your visa situation.
The figure that counts is the one in your offer letter and your MOHRE contract. Check the basic salary, allowances, working hours and contract type before you sign. Our guide on how to read a UAE job offer letter explains each part.
How do I spot a fake Carrefour job offer?
Scammers like big names, and Majid Al Futtaim has warned about this before. In 2019, job seekers in South Asia received fake contracts using the name of City Centre Mirdif, an MAF mall. They were told to pay Rs20,000 (Dh1,050) for an “e-visa”. MAF said the scheme had “no association with Majid Al Futtaim” and that it only uses its official channels for recruitment.
Warning signs:
- They ask for money for a visa, medical, ticket or “processing”.
- The offer comes from a free email address like Gmail or Yahoo.
- You get a job with no interview.
- The website is not careers.majidalfuttaim.com, or the “HR” talks only on WhatsApp.
Never pay to get a job. Read our guide on how to spot fake job offers in the UAE, and tell us if you see a fake Carrefour advert.
