This full-time Mason Foreman vacancy with NMDC Group is based in Abu Dhabi and accepts a Higher School Certificate or a Diploma in Industrial Engineering, or an equivalent qualification or experience.
You will supervise masonry and precast work, guide workers, check quality and safety, and keep production moving according to the work plan.
A typical day on the worksite
You will schedule and supervise workers in your area, check attendance, follow drawings and production plans, and coordinate with the general foreman and maintenance team. The day also includes checking equipment, keeping the section clean, and reporting unsafe conditions or delays.
Main tasks for the Mason Foreman
- Oversee casting, finishing and other masonry construction work.
- Manage masonry crews and make sure work follows the schedule and quality system.
- Check that workers follow occupational health, safety and industrial safety procedures.
- Train and mentor junior masons while correcting unsafe actions and conditions.
- Plan project resources, order materials and equipment, and help manage budgets.
- Maintain machinery, drawings, production plans and worksite cleanliness.
- Attend safety meetings and walkthroughs, and report unsafe acts or conditions to the HSE department.
